Trueheaven Foundation takes the utmost care to process donations as per the instructions given by our donors, both online and offline.
However, in the unlikely event of an erroneous donation or if a donor wishes to cancel a donation, Trueheaven Foundation will respond within 7 working days of receiving a valid written request for a refund.
The timely refund of the donation will depend on the type of credit card or banking instrument used during the transaction.
The donor must send Trueheaven Foundation a written request for a refund within 2 days of making the donation, addressed to our email care@thetrueheaven.com or to the official address of the Foundation, along with:
- Proof of deduction of the donation amount
- In cases where the donation receipt has already been issued, the donor must return the original receipt to our registered address
- If the tax exemption certificate has already been claimed by the donor after the donation, the donation cannot be refunded. However, in case of a valid refund request due to any error on Trueheaven Foundation’s part, we will refund the donation and bear the costs of the same.
Trueheaven Foundation has instituted this refund policy to ensure fair and transparent processing of refund requests, especially as digital payments are becoming more frequent. We expect that all donors will exercise due care and diligence while making donations. A donation may sometimes be made in error or a donor may change their mind. In such cases, we will examine the request for a refund and endeavor to process it. We may also seek explanation or supporting documentation to verify the request.
Trueheaven Foundation is not obliged to make refunds and may, at its discretion, decline any requests for refund of donations, particularly where a tax exemption certificate has already been issued.

Your refund request must include the details such as:
- Date of donation
- Amount of donation
- Mode of donation (Credit Card, UPI, Online Bank Transfer, etc.)
The request must reach the Foundation office within 7 (seven) days from the date on which the donation was made.
This includes:
- The date on which you made the donation online or electronically
- The date on which you handed over a cheque/demand draft to Trueheaven Foundation or its authorised representative
- The date on which you dispatched the cheque/demand draft by any means
The refund process may take between 7 to 30 working days depending on the availability of information from third parties such as payment gateway services or banks through which the transaction was processed.
80G Compliance Clause
As per clause (viii) and (ix) of sub-section (5) of Section 80G of the Income Tax Act introduced with effect from 1st April 2021, Trueheaven Foundation will file the “Statement of Donations received” (Form No. 10BD) with details of donors and donations received. We will issue certificates to donors (Form No. 10BE) as per applicable regulations. Deduction under Section 80G will be allowed to the donor based on the statement filed by the Donee. Once a tax exemption certificate has been issued and the details submitted, the donation may not be eligible for refund.
Note: Trueheaven Foundation reserves the right to decline any refund requests after issuing the tax exemption certificate under Section 80G.
